What are the Awards about?
Who can apply for the Awards?
  1. Participants must be full-time employee or Doctor of Aster DM Healthcare having an employee ID or Fusion ID.
  2. The Award is open to all employees from India and GCC regions of Aster DM Healthcare.
  3. Participants should have spent a minimum of 2 years in the organization as of March 31, 2024
  4. The impact of the initiative entered by the participant in any category must have been implemented between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024, except for the Clinical Excellence for Doctors category. For the 'Clinical Excellence in Doctors' category, the publications/research papers submitted by the participants will cover the period from April 01, 2022, to March 31, 2024. The impact assessment of this category will also be conducted for the last two-year period.
  5. Candidates applying for the Team Excellence category should note that the team lead must have been with the organization for a minimum of two years as of March 31, 2024. However, team members may have less than two years of tenure with the organization.
What are the categories for the Award?
Can I nominate myself?
Yes, individuals can nominate themselves in up to two categories.
Can I nominate a colleague?
Yes, you can nominate your peers/ colleagues in one or more categories.
How do I nominate a colleague?
  1. An individual can nominate a fellow Asterian by clicking on the website link www.drmoopensaward.com.
  2. Nominator will do one time registration on the Award portal with their email ID.
  3. Once the account verification is completed, nominator can login, select the category and start filling the details in the form then submit.
  4. The nominee will then receive an email regarding the nomination.
Can I nominate a colleague from any region?
No, you can only nominate colleagues from the region to which you belong. For example, if your current region is India, you can only nominate colleagues from the Indian region and not from the GCC.
How can I verify my email/ complete my registration?
After the participant registers on the portal using an Aster email ID, they will receive a verification email containing login credentials. The participant must click the link provided in the email to complete their registration and proceed to the next stage.
Can I use an alternate email ID?
Yes, there is an option to use an alternate email ID in case you are unable to receive the verification email on the official email ID. However, we strongly encourage all participants to use their Aster official email ID for registration. This practice ensures compliance with privacy laws by limiting the collection of personal information. It aligns with data minimization principles and reduces the risk of accessing and storing unnecessary personal data.
What are the guidelines for submitting supporting documents for nominations?
Supporting documents must be provided to substantiate entries or participants' contributions. When handling sensitive patient data, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, ages, medical reports, or mental health records, it is imperative to mask or anonymize this information to safeguard patient privacy.
Can I fill the application form offline and mail it to you later?
Yes, the application form can be downloaded from the offline application form section and should be submitted through the portal only. However, please note that the backend team will require approximately 5 working days to add the offline form to the dashboard for review.
How do I submit an offline form in the system?
Participants should follow the steps below to access and submit the offline application form into the system:
  1. Visit the Award website and complete the registration process.
  2. Log in to the portal using the provided credentials.
  3. Step 1: Select the name of the category you wish to apply for from the dropdown provided.
  4. Step 2: Download the application form of the selected category from the provided table.
  5. Step 3: Upload the completed application form by clicking [here].
  6. Step 4: Click the 'Submit' button to share your application form for the Award.
When do I get to see the uploaded Offline form in the dashboard?
The application form submitted for the Award will be visible to participants after 5 working days. Participants can log in using their credentials to view the filled application form.
How will I know if I have been nominated?
After a nomination is submitted, the nominee will receive an email containing a link to the application portal.
What is my reporting manager’s role in the process?
Your reporting manager plays a crucial role in the process. They have the right to raise any concerns they may have. If you are shortlisted for the next round, the audit partners may reach out to your reporting manager to confirm the initiative details mentioned in your application form.
Who will judge my nomination?
  1. All nominations received will first be screened by the official third-party tabulators and then assigned to the screening jury for the initial evaluation.
  2. The shortlisted entries will then be evaluated by a jury comprising senior leaders from Aster India and the GCC region.
  3. The finalists will be decided based on the evaluation of the grand jury, which consists of both internal and external members.
What is the deadline for submission of entries?
The last date for receiving completed application forms is July 22, 2024 11:59PM IST.
What do the Award winners receive?
Winners from India will receive a cash prize of INR 5,00,000, and winners from the GCC will be awarded a cash prize of AED 40,000 across six categories of excellence.
How many winners will be awarded?
There will be 6 winners from India and 6 winners from GCC.
When will the results be announced?
The results will be announced on the Founder’s Day in December.
Can I withdraw from the nomination process? How do I initiate the withdrawal process?
Yes, you can withdraw from the nomination process, whether you have nominated yourself or have been nominated by someone else. To initiate the withdrawal, you must inform the Award Management and Process Advisors in writing by emailing the contact us email ID. This can be done at any time up to one week before the final Award ceremony, at the discretion of the Award Management
